CrushLog Pro Is Now in Open Beta

CrushLog Pro Is Now in Open Beta

CrushLog started as a private climbing journal. Log your sends, track your grades, keep your data on your device. That part isn’t changing.

But climbers don’t climb alone. You project with a partner, train at the same gym, compare pyramids over a beer. The data in your logbook becomes more useful when you can share pieces of it — on your terms.

That’s what CrushLog Pro is. It’s a web portal at crushlog.pro that extends your private logbook with social features, training intelligence, and gym tools. Today, we’re opening it to everyone.

What You Get as a Climber

Your Logbook, Everywhere

Opt into online mode in the CrushLog app, and your climbing data syncs to the web. Access your full logbook — sessions, climbs, grades, stats — from any browser. No more squinting at your phone to show someone your season.

Social Without the Noise

Follow climbers you actually climb with. See their recent sends in your activity feed. Like and comment on ascents.

This isn’t another social network trying to monetize your attention. There’s no algorithmic feed, no suggested content from strangers, no ads. You follow your crew, you see their climbs. That’s it.

Training Intelligence (Pro)

This is the feature we’re most excited about. CrushLog Pro analyzes your training patterns and gives you data that used to require a coach:

  • Pentagon Metrics — a five-dimensional view of your training across frequency, intensity, volume, recovery, and velocity
  • ACWR Monitoring — Acute Chronic Workload Ratio tracking, the same injury-risk model used in professional sports. If your recent training load spikes relative to your baseline, you’ll see a warning before your tendons feel it
  • Volume-Intensity Bands — see where your sessions fall on the training load spectrum and whether you’re actually training in the zones that drive progression
  • Overtraining Alerts — real-time notifications when your training enters the danger zone

Route Discovery

Browse routes by grade, type, and location. See grade distributions across gyms. Find what’s been set recently. Check what other climbers rated highly. Map and grid views for outdoor crags.

Achievements

Milestone badges that track your climbing career — from your first flash to your hundredth outdoor session. Not everyone cares about gamification, but for those who do, it’s there.

What Gym Owners Get

CrushLog Pro isn’t just for individual climbers. We’ve built a full suite of gym management tools.

Venue Management

Set up your gym with operating hours, facilities, staff roles, and branding. Manage multiple venues from one dashboard.

Route & Sector Management

Create, publish, and retire routes with proper workflows. Track hold colors, support multiple grade systems (French, V-Scale, YDS, UIAA), and manage sectors independently. Batch operations for setting days. Import routes from CLDF files.

QR Code System

Generate QR codes for routes. Print them, stick them on the wall. When a climber scans one with CrushLog, the route is instantly prefilled — name, grade, location. No typing, no searching, no wrong grades.

Sector Refresh Workflow

Orchestrated reset cycles per sector. Schedule refreshes, auto-publish new routes, and show freshness indicators so climbers know which walls have new problems.

Gym Analytics

See which routes get climbed the most. Track grade distribution across your gym. Monitor setter performance and climber engagement. Data-driven setting decisions.

For Coaches

Verified coach profiles with athlete monitoring. See your athletes’ training loads, write per-athlete notes, and set access levels. The training intelligence features (pentagon metrics, ACWR) become coaching tools when you can see them across your entire roster.

The Beta

This is a real beta — the core features work, but we’re still iterating. Some things you should know:

What’s solid:

  • Climb syncing between the mobile app and the web
  • Social features (follow, activity feed, likes, comments)
  • Route discovery and grade exploration
  • Gym venue and route management
  • QR code generation and scanning

What’s still in progress:

  • Training intelligence metrics are being calibrated against real-world training data
  • Interactive floor plans with route pins are coming soon (heatmaps are already live)
  • Equipment tracker is functional but rough around the edges
  • Trip planning is in early alpha
  • Gym analytics dashboards are being expanded

Pricing during beta: The beta is free. When we launch fully, CrushLog Pro will have tiered subscriptions:

  • Climbers: Free tier with core features, Pro tier with training intelligence and advanced analytics
  • Gyms: Starter, Pro, and Enterprise tiers based on venue count and feature set
  • Coaches: Starter, Pro, and Elite tiers based on athlete roster size

Beta users will get a heads-up before any pricing changes, and early adopters get a loyalty discount.

Privacy Stays First

CrushLog Pro is opt-in. If you never turn on online mode, nothing changes — your data stays on your device, exactly as before. If you do opt in, you control what’s visible:

  • Your logbook can be private, friends-only, or public
  • Individual climbs can be shared or kept private
  • Location data precision is configurable
  • You can export everything via CLDF and delete your account at any time

We don’t sell data. We don’t show ads. The business model is subscriptions.

Try It

The beta is live at crushlog.pro. Sign up, connect your CrushLog app, and start sharing your sends.

If something breaks, tell us — feedback@crushlog.app. If something’s missing, tell us that too. We’re building this with the climbing community, and the beta is where your input shapes what ships.

CrushLog Pro is a web companion to the CrushLog mobile app. Download CrushLog for iOS or Android to get started.
